Alloy 20 round bars are primarily made up of nickel (32–38%), iron (the balance), chromium (19–21%), copper (3–4%), and molybdenum (2–3%), along with trace amounts of manganese and silicon. This well-balanced composition provides exceptional resistance to sulfuric acid and general corrosion. In terms of mechanical properties, Alloy 20 boasts a tensile strength of about 80 ksi (550 MPa), a yield strength of roughly 35 ksi (240 MPa), and an elongation of 30–35%. These characteristics make it ideal for high-stress environments while ensuring excellent structural integrity across a range of temperatures and chemical exposures.
