Alloy Steel F11 has approximately 1.0–1.5% chromium and 0.44–0.65% molybdenum and contains 0.10–0.20% carbon. The alloy provides tensile strength of 415–585 MPa and satisfactory creep resistance up to 575°C. The alloy has excellent toughness and fatigue resistance. F11 can be normalized and tempered for the improvement of its mechanical properties. It is weldable and is resistant to oxidation and thermal fatigue, and thus it is dependable for long-term use in elevated temperatures.
