F9 Alloy Steel generally consists of approximately 9% chromium, 1% molybdenum, and minimal carbon content (~0.15%). It offers high tensile strength (600–800 MPa) and superior resistance to high-temperature corrosion and oxidation. F9 also shows good creep strength and weldability, with retaining mechanical properties up to 600°C. It can be heat-treated for desired hardness and ductility. The alloy is preferred for withstanding long stress exposure and high temperature.
