Aluminium 1050 Bars and Rods generally consist of 99.5% aluminium, with just a hint of iron, silicon, copper, magnesium, manganese, and zinc. This alloy provides a tensile strength ranging from about 60 to 105 MPa and an elongation of 12 to 35%, depending on the temper. While it may not have the mechanical strength of heat-treatable alloys, it shines in terms of corrosion resistance in most environments. Aluminium 1050 also boasts high thermal and electrical conductivity, making it perfect for electrical conductors and heat exchangers. It’s highly workable, easily machinable, and ideal for cold forming, welding, and anodizing, which further boosts its surface durability and visual appeal.
