Aiman Metals provides high-performance Aluminium 5082 Forgings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for industries that need lightweight, corrosion-resistant solutions. Aluminium 5082 is a magnesium-rich alloy known for its strength and weldability, commonly used in marine, transportation, and pressure vessel applications. Our forgings are made using advanced methods to achieve excellent mechanical properties and accurate dimensions. Aiman Metals customizes each order to meet customer needs, supplying durable products that perform well in tough conditions.
Aluminium 5082 mainly contains magnesium (4.0–4.9%) and manganese (0.2–0.7%), with trace amounts of iron and silicon. It offers a tensile strength up to 290 MPa and good elongation, making it suitable for high-load, high-corrosion settings. Although non-heat-treatable, it can be cold worked to boost strength. It has great corrosion resistance in marine environments and good fatigue strength. Its balanced properties make it ideal for heavy-duty structural applications.

Aluminum 5082 offers high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, and enhanced fatigue resistance, making it ideal for custom forgings in marine, aerospace, and structural applications.
The forging process for Aluminium 5082 typically takes between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the complexity of the part, size, and the specific forging method used.
Aluminum 5082's workability, characterized by good machinability and medium strength, allows for easy shaping during forging. However, its relatively low work hardening rate may require careful temperature control.
Aluminium 5082 Forgings are used in marine structures, boat hulls, storage tanks, and shipbuilding because of their superior corrosion resistance and strength. They are also used in fuel tanks, automotive parts, and transportation components that face mechanical stress. 5082 is suitable for pressure vessels and structural frames in industrial processing applications. Its weldability and durability make it perfect for parts that undergo forming and joining operations. Forgings from this alloy are chosen for safety-critical applications where strength and environmental resistance are vital.
