Aiman Metals exports high-strength Aluminium 6061 Forgings from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that provide consistent performance for structural and mechanical uses. One of the most versatile aluminum alloys, 6061 provides a great balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability. 6061 forged parts are well-suited for aerospace, automotive, and industrial purposes. Aiman Metals creates custom-forged shapes with uniform grain structure and mechanical integrity, providing parts that satisfy strict performance and dimensional requirements.
Aluminium 6061 has magnesium (0.8–1.2%) and silicon (0.4–0.8%), with small amounts of copper and chromium. Under T6 temper, it offers tensile strength of ≈290 MPa and good resistance to fatigue. It is weldable and heat-treatable, with very good corrosion resistance and toughness. Its grain structure is improved by forging, which makes it more dependable under conditions of cyclic stresses and mechanical loading.

Aluminum 6061 offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, machinability, weldability, and thermal conductivity, making it ideal for custom forgings in aerospace, automotive, and structural applications.
Aluminum 6061 is not ideal for high-temperature forging due to its lower melting point and limited high-temperature strength. It is better suited for structural applications, not extreme heat environments.
Aluminum 6061's workability allows for easier forging, as it has good formability, high strength, and excellent machinability. It requires careful temperature control to avoid cracking during the forging process.
Aluminium 6061 Forgings find applications in structural parts, aircraft components, marine equipment, motor vehicle suspensions, and bike frames. It‘s also found in hydraulic systems, valves, connectors, and heavy machinery brackets. It’s applied in consumer products such as sporting goods, machinery housings, and camera support. The strength of the alloy, weldability, and corrosion resistance make it a preferred material for medium to high strength forging applications in numerous industries.
