Aiman Metals provides high-strength Aluminium 6083 Forgings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, produced for structural, marine, and general engineering purposes. Aluminium 6083 has high corrosion resistance, weldability, and moderate-to-high strength. The metal is favored for use in forged parts with the need for durability, formability, and load performance. Our 6083 forgings are manufactured in several shapes and sizes, designed according to industry standards to deliver reliability across a wide range of mechanical and architectural applications.
Aluminium 6083 contains magnesium (0.6–1.2%), silicon (0.7–1.3%), and manganese. It provides tensile strength up to ≈290 MPa in T6 temper. It is heat-treatable and possesses good machinability, weldability, and excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and atmospheric conditions. Forging enhances its grain structure, thus increasing fatigue strength and dimensional accuracy.

Yes, Aluminum 6083 can be forged into thin-walled custom shapes, but it requires precise control of temperature, pressure, and tooling due to its relatively high strength and tendency to harden.
Aluminum 6083 has excellent workability, making it ideal for forging. Its high formability allows for intricate shapes with minimal cracking, ensuring smooth, efficient forging processes for complex components.
Aluminum 6083 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications. It has lower strength at elevated temperatures compared to other alloys like 7075, making it unsuitable for such conditions.
Aluminium 6083 Forgings find extensive applications in structural parts, marine platforms, transport equipment, and pressure vessels. They’re best suited for architectural uses such as window frames, roofing brackets, and support structures. Their resistance to corrosion makes them appropriate for saltwater conditions. Aluminium 6083 Forgings are also employed in building machinery, cranes, and lifting systems, providing reliable performance in load assemblies.
