Aiman Metals is a prominent distributor of Carbon Steel EN-351 Bars in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. EN-351 is a case-hardening steel alloy type aimed at achieving high core toughness and superior surface hardness following carburizing or induction hardening. It finds best use in the production of heavy-duty mechanical parts with long-term wear resistance and impact resistance. Aiman Metals supplies EN-351 bars in different heat-treated and machined conditions to comply with worldwide engineering and industrial demands. Our EN-351 bars are tested and precision-rolled for consistency, durability, and suitability for automotive, gear, and heavy machinery uses.
EN-351 steel has approximately 0.15–0.25% carbon, 0.60–0.90% manganese, with nickel (~1.0–1.4%) and chromium (~0.8–1.2%) added to enhance hardenability. Surface hardness up to 60 HRC is achieved after carburizing, while the core maintains great ductility and impact strength. The steel also has high fatigue resistance and dimensional stability after treatment. It is case hardenable, flame hardenable, or induction hardenable. With heat treatment, tensile strength can be more than 850 MPa. EN-351 can be machined and used for accurate, high-performance components that are exposed to friction and cyclic loads.

Carbon Steel EN-351 Bar is commonly used in construction, structural applications, and manufacturing machinery components, providing strength, durability, and resistance to wear, corrosion, and impact for various industrial uses.
The available thicknesses for Carbon Steel EN-351 Bars typically range from 5mm to 250mm, depending on the supplier and specific requirements, with custom thicknesses available upon request.
Carbon Steel EN-351 bar has high strength, good toughness, and moderate corrosion resistance. It exhibits good weldability, hardness, and machinability, with tensile strength ranging from 560 to 700 MPa.
Carbon Steel EN-351 Bars find extensive application in gear shafts, camshafts, piston pins, couplings, and other transmission parts. It is also employed in automotive components, powertrain components, and industrial gearboxes that need surface wear resistance as well as a ductile core. EN-351 excels in agricultural machinery, drilling tools, and mining equipment. Its case hardening feature makes it an ideal selection for parts subjected to chronic surface stress with preserved strength against dynamic loads. It is applied in applications of high bearing load where impact strength as well as fatigue resistance is of essence.
