Copper C11400 comprises approximately 99.5% copper with 0.02–0.06% sulfur, which enhances machinability significantly. It gives approximately 90% IACS electrical conductivity and tensile strength of ~250 MPa in annealed condition. The alloy maintains excellent ductility and corrosion resistance but facilitates chip formation and tool life better than unmixed copper alloys. It‘s brazable and solderable, though welding is not usually advisable. C11400 provides superior surface finish in machined components and is therefore the first choice for precise copper parts.
