Copper Nickel 70/30 Forgings consist of about 70% copper and 30% nickel with minor additions of iron (0.4–1.0%) and manganese (0.4–1.0%) to provide corrosion resistance and strength. These forgings have tensile strength 310–483 MPa, yield strength 110–276 MPa, and elongation 20–40% based on the forging process. With a hardness level of 80–150 HB, the alloy has superior toughness, ductility, and erosion resistance. Above all, Copper Nickel 70/30 has superior seawater corrosion resistance and biofouling resistance, which makes it extremely useful in severe marine and industrial applications.
