Duplex Steel Bright Bars are solid bars manufactured using a balanced austenitic-ferritic stainless steel composition. Their usual constitution has 22–25% chromium, 4–7% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, with iron making up the remainder, and minute additions of nitrogen for enhanced strength. This constitution provides very good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-assisted stress corrosion cracking. Duplex Bright Bars possess high tensile strength, toughness, and elongation, making them appropriate for demanding applications. Their bright, polished finish improves dimensional accuracy and looks. Besides, they also offer excellent weldability and machinability, thus being extremely versatile for industrial and structural use.
