Duplex Steel Flat Bars are designed with a bi-phase microstructure containing both austenite and ferrite, providing optimal strength and corrosion resistance. They are usually alloyed with 21–26% chromium, 1.5–8% nickel, 0.3–5% molybdenum, and 0.1–0.3% nitrogen, and possess great resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Being stronger in tensile and yield strength than conventional stainless steels, these bars possess excellent toughness and dimensional stability. Also, they are very weldable, machinable, and fatigue-resistant, making them perfectly suitable for heavy-duty usage in aggressive, chloride-rich, and high-stress industrial environments.
