Hastelloy C22 Rods and Bars are nickel-based alloys containing around 56–60% nickel, 20–22% chromium, and 12–15% molybdenum, with trace amounts of tungsten, cobalt, and iron. This new chemical composition delivers superior resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, even in the presence of acids and chlorides. Hastelloy C22 is mechanically very strong in tensile strength, having superior weldability, and resistance to temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C). Its corrosion resistance and strength in both reducing and oxidizing conditions make it a viable alloy, providing outstanding performance at low maintenance in severe applications.
