Incoloy bright bars are highly polished, precision-ground solid bars of corrosion- and heat-resistant Incoloy alloys. Bright bars have a smooth finish, close dimensional tolerance, and high machinability. Grades such as 800, 825, or 925 are available in Incoloy bright bars and are perfect for applications where high mechanical strength, good looks, and chemical resistance against aggressive chemicals or high temperatures are required. Their polished finish qualifies them for stringent engineering components, shafts, fasteners, and marine, aerospace, and chemical industry decoration applications. They are not magnetic and possess structural integrity in harsh environments.
Incoloy bright bars are alloyed with 30–45% nickel, 20–23% chromium, and other elements such as molybdenum, copper, or titanium based on the grade. These bars provide tensile strengths of 550–800 MPa with superior yield strength and elongation characteristics. The bright finish provides improved corrosion resistance and wear surface resistance. The bars are cold-finished with high accuracy, better fatigue life, and machinability. The chemical resistance comprises acids, alkalis, seawater, and oxidizing conditions without loss of performance at temperatures of up to 1000°C.
