Incoloy hex bars are nickel-iron-chromium alloy products with high performance for corrosive and high-temperature applications. Hexagonal in shape, these bars provide enhanced strength, machinability, and structural properties in fastener and support uses. The Incoloy alloys employed in hex bars, like Incoloy 800, 825, or 925, exhibit resistance to carburization, oxidation, and various acids and alkalis. These bars are engineered to precision and find widespread application in petrochemicals, marine, oil and gas, and power generation industries where corrosion resistance, dimensional stability, and heat strength are essential.
Depending upon the grade, Incoloy hex bars consist mainly of nickel (30–45%), iron (balance), chromium (15–23%), with molybdenum, copper, and titanium as additions. Tensile strength is 550–800 MPa and shows good creep resistance at elevated temperatures. Ductility, impact strength, and stress rupture are good. Mechanical stability remains up to 1000°C and possesses excellent resistance against chloride stress-corrosion cracking. Hexagonal shape ensures improved grip and torque transmission in assembly parts like bolts, screws, and valve stems in hostile conditions.

Incoloy hex bars are extensively employed in production of heavy-duty fasteners, bolts, nuts, shaft couplings, valve stems, machine parts working in corrosive or high-temperature conditions. They play a vital role in sour gas applications, pressure vessels, offshore drilling platforms, marine engineering, and heat exchangers. The hex shape provides mechanical benefits when wrenching and assembling high-load hardware. In the oil refining and chemical industries, Incoloy hex bars are utilized due to their resistance to chloride pitting and sulfide stress corrosion. They are also utilized in nuclear and thermal power system components, flue gas scrubbers, as well as in industrial furnace hardware.
