Corrosion-resistant, high-temperature nickel alloy Incoloy round bars are produced as products that are made for structural, mechanical, and high-strength use. Made available in several Incoloy grades such as 800, 825, or 925, these bars hold good strength, oxidation resistance, and stability when exposed to acidic and marine environments. They are accurately machined and are applied extensively in oil and gas, chemical processing, marine, and power generation industries. Stress-corrosion cracking and pitting resistance, particularly in chloride and sulfur-containing environments, is the special value that round bars of Incoloy are appreciated for. Their circular shape best suits them for shafts, fasteners, and rotary equipment.
Incoloy round bars may have 30–45% nickel, 20–23% chromium, and 22–45% iron, varying depending upon the grade. Other elements such as molybdenum, copper, titanium, or aluminum add to certain properties. They provide tensile strengths ranging from 550–800 MPa and high yield strength with good hardness and ductility. The alloy is resistant to localized corrosion, oxidation, intergranular attack, and chloride-induced stress corrosion. Round bars are forged or cold-drawn for accuracy and uniformity, and they are best suited for machining, welding, and high-pressure use in aggressive conditions and at elevated temperatures.
