Incoloy square bars are solid bars of square cross-section, made from nickel-iron-chromium alloys for ultimate mechanical performance and corrosion resistance. Their consistent shape contributes to strength, machinability, and ease of assembly in structural and fastener use. Generally fabricated from grades such as Incoloy 800, 825, or 925, the square bars are used for components subjected to corrosive chemicals, seawater, and high temperatures. They are manufactured to close tolerance dimensions, with fine surface finish and hardness. Their mechanical integrity under load conditions makes them ideal for brackets, framework, and custom machined components in severe environments.
Incoloy square bars generally consist of 30–46% nickel, 19–23% chromium, and iron in balance. Other alloying constituents are molybdenum, titanium, and copper based on the grade. The bars offer tensile strength to 800 MPa and good resistance to stress rupture, creep, and acid and alkali corrosion. Their square section allows for uniform stress distribution and accurate machining finishes. They are weldable and retain their structure in oxidizing, carburizing, and chloride-containing environments, withstanding mechanical load and thermal cycling reliability.
