Inconel 600 has an approximate composition of 72% nickel, 14–17% chromium, and 6–10% iron. It possesses a tensile strength of ~655 MPa and outstanding resistance to oxidation up to 1175°C. It has high strength and good formability over a large temperature range. It is a non-magnetic alloy, corrosion-resistant in many types of media, and possesses excellent weldability.
