Aiman Metals is a well-known supplier and manufacturer of Inconel 686 Rods and Bars in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Designed with superior corrosion resistance, this alloy is best suited to challenging chemical processing and sea applications. Inconel 686 has superior resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking against a broad spectrum of aggressive environments. At Aiman Metals, our bars and rods are precision-crafted to meet ASTM and ASME standards, ensuring high-quality performance in critical industries. Whether required for offshore, chemical, or power generation systems, our Inconel 686 solutions ensure long-term reliability and superior material strength.
Inconel 686 is a nickel-based alloy composed of ~59% nickel, ~20% chromium, ~16% molybdenum, with additions of tungsten, iron, and cobalt. This composition provides outstanding corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing environments. The alloy provides tensile strength greater than 750 MPa and structural integrity at high temperature up to 1000°C. It withstands chloride-induced corrosion and offers better pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Inconel 686 can be welded, heat-treated, and exhibits good mechanical strength with stable microstructure under long-term exposure.

Inconel 686 Rods and Bars are used extensively in chemical reactors, pharmaceutical gear, heat exchangers, scrubbers, and marine equipment. It is particularly well-suited to equipment that is exposed to sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric, and phosphoric acids. The superior resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion of the alloy makes it the first preference in seawater applications, desalination plants, and offshore oil rigs. It is also used in nuclear waste reprocessing and pollution control equipment. Inconel 686 increases longevity and reduces upkeep in demanding conditions, making it a requisite for vital infrastructure in highly corrosive or thermally unstable applications.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
