Aiman Metals, a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based company, is a reliable manufacturer and supplier of Molybdenum Bars and Rods of superior quality. Its reputation for precision engineering, excellent products, and customer satisfaction has made Aiman Metals a customer of choice for industries that have stringent material requirements. Molybdenum is prized for its outstanding high-temperature strength, resistance to corrosion, and thermal/electrical conductivity, making it a vital material in aerospace, electronics, chemical processing, and heavy industries. Each product goes through rigorous quality tests to verify reliability, durability, and international standards compliance. With cutting-edge manufacturing technology and experience, Aiman Metals ensures continuous top-quality Molybdenum solutions to cater to demanding application requirements where performance under harsh conditions is critical.
Molybdenum Bars and Rods consist of about 99.95% molybdenum (Mo), with trace amounts of impurities like iron (Fe ≤ 0.01%), carbon (C ≤ 0.02%), and silicon (Si ≤ 0.01%). They have extremely high melting point of 3,623°C, very good tensile strength of 500–900 MPa, and yield strength of 300–600 MPa. With an elongation of about 30%, molybdenum has satisfactory machinability and formability. The alloy does not lose its mechanical properties with rising temperatures and shows good corrosion resistance in harsh environments, so it can be applied for high-stress, high-temperature, and chemically demanding applications.

Yes, molybdenum bars can be welded, but they require special techniques due to their high melting point. Proper care, such as using appropriate filler materials and preheating, is essential.
Molybdenum rods are generally resistant to galvanic corrosion due to their excellent corrosion resistance. However, in certain environments, especially when paired with more anodic metals, galvanic corrosion can still occur.
Molybdenum Rods and Bars are applied wherever there is a need for high strength, heat resistance, and corrosion protection. In the field of aerospace, they are utilized in structural and engine parts that work under harsh heat. In electronics, molybdenum is utilized for filaments, electrodes, and electric contacts owing to its superior conductivity and stability. In high-temperature furnaces, it is utilized in heating elements, supports, and shields. The chemical industry applies it to parts that are subjected to corrosive processing conditions. In addition, molybdenum is alloyed with steel and superalloys for enhancing strength, wear properties, and durability. Military and defense industries also employ it in protective and structural parts.
