Nickel Alloy 201 is a commercially pure wrought nickel, boasting a minimum nickel content of 99.5% and a very low carbon content (maximum 0.02%). This low carbon variant of Nickel 200 helps prevent embrittlement at high temperatures, making it ideal for elevated temperature settings. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 403 MPa, a yield strength of around 103 MPa, and impressive ductility with an elongation of 45%. The alloy excels in resisting caustic alkalis and reducing chemicals, while also offering excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, good mechanical properties, and a low work-hardening rate, which makes it easy to form and fabricate.
