What is Nimonic Bars and Rods?

Nimonic Rods and Bars are nickel-based, high-performance alloys with about 50–70% nickel, 14–22% chromium, 2–20% cobalt, 2.8–3.5% titanium, and 1.5–2.5% aluminum. Trace elements including carbon, iron, and molybdenum are incorporated to improve strength and resistance to oxidation. The alloys have tensile strengths of up to 1,300 MPa, good creep resistance at temperatures near 1,000°C, and better corrosion resistance in hostile environments. Engineered for mechanical stability under severe stress and temperature, Nimonic is able to maintain structural integrity and can be used in critical aerospace components, high-speed gas turbines, and other severe industrial uses.
