What is Nitronic 33 Bar and Rod?

Nitronic 33 has approximately 18% chromium, 8% manganese, 4% nickel, and nitrogen. It has tensile strength of ~600 MPa in annealed state, which improves considerably upon cold working. The alloy shows good impact strength, non-magnetic properties, and atmospheric and chemical corrosion resistance. It has superior mechanical properties over an extensive range of temperature, where it retains toughness and abrasion resistance in harsh environments.
