What is Nitronic Bar and Rod?

Nitronic rods and bars are graded differently but usually have high concentrations of nitrogen, manganese, chromium, and nickel. They are tensile in strength from 600 MPa up to more than 800 MPa and exhibit superior ductility, workability, and oxidation resistance at both high and cryogenic temperatures. All Nitronic grades are non-magnetic, have high strength-to-weight ratios, and are capable in abrasive, corrosive, and wear-susceptible environments. All grades are for a given performance environment, ranging from structure to high-wear applications.
