Stainless Steel 15-5 PH Hex Bars and Rods are martensitic precipitation-hardening alloys that have a composition of about 15% chromium, 4–5% nickel, and 3–5% copper, with 0.05% carbon, 0.15–0.45% manganese, and trace silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. Such a composition provides excellent strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance. In the condition H900, these bars reach tensile strengths ranging from 930–1170 MPa, yield strength of 865 MPa, and elongation of 14–16%. With a 38–42 HRC hardness range, SS 15-5 PH provides superior mechanical stability and is well-suited for challenging environments like aerospace, marine, and high-performance industrial applications.
