Stainless Steel 17-4 PH is a martensitic precipitation-hardening alloy that features about 17% chromium, 4% nickel, 3–5% copper, along with trace elements like niobium. This unique blend provides outstanding strength, hardness, and resistance to corrosion. When heat-treated to the H900 condition, it boasts a tensile strength of up to 1310 MPa, a yield strength around 1170 MPa, and hardness reaching up to 44 HRC. The material retains good toughness and mechanical properties even in challenging environments, making it perfect for high-load and corrosion-sensitive applications. Plus, it responds exceptionally well to heat treatment for customized performance.
