Stainless Steel 17-4 PH is a precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel that contains about 17% chromium, 4% nickel, 3–5% copper, along with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and niobium. It boasts impressive strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance, particularly when hardened. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength of up to 1100 MPa, a yield strength around 1000 MPa, and hardness reaching up to 44 HRC, depending on the heat treatment process.
