Aiman Metals’ Stainless Steel 201 Bars and Rods are mostly made of iron, with 16–18% chromium content to provide a higher corrosion resistance and 3.5–5.5% nickel to offer greater toughness. They also have 5.5–7.5% manganese and minor percentages of nitrogen, which provide improved formability and workability. Mechanically, SS 201 has a tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and good ductility. It has excellent resistance to oxidation, wear, and corrosion and is a cost-effective substitute for higher-nickel stainless steels without sacrificing strong and consistent performance in numerous demanding industrial environments.
