Stainless Steel 316 Flat Bars are primarily composed of iron, featuring around 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, which significantly boosts their corrosion resistance—especially in environments rich in chlorides. They also contain trace amounts of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, and sulfur. These bars boast a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and impressive ductility with an elongation of about 40%. They retain their toughness even at high and cryogenic temperatures, ensuring reliable performance in challenging conditions. Additionally, SS 316 flat bars are non-magnetic and well-suited for welding and forming processes.
