Aiman Metals, with its base in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a prominent producer and supplier of high-quality premium stainless steel products. We are specialized in the manufacture of high-grade Stainless Steel 316 Forgings for industries calling for excellent corrosion resistance and reliable performance. Durable and strong, our 316 forgings are carefully engineered to excel industrial standards. Supported by decades of experience and sophisticated manufacturing technology, we provide every forging with uniform quality, dependability, and extended service life. Supporting industries ranging from shipping to pharmaceuticals, Aiman Metals is a reliable ally for stainless steel products that outperform in harsh working conditions.
The Stainless Steel 316 Forgings contain iron, 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, as well as trace quantities of carbon, manganese, and silicon. This alloy has exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride-bearing environments such as seawater. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 515–690 MPa, yield strength of 205–290 MPa, and elongation of 40–50%. The molybdenum adds improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, and the structural stability of the alloy guarantees consistent performance at high temperatures. These characteristics render 316 forgings strong, versatile, and suitable for demanding applications in harsh environments.

Yes, Stainless Steel 316 forgings can be shaped into custom forms using precision forging techniques, allowing for a wide range of applications in various industries, including marine and chemical sectors.
The ideal temperature range for forging Stainless Steel 316 is between 2100°F to 2300°F (1149°C to 1260°C), ensuring optimal ductility and minimizing the risk of cracking.
The forging process for Stainless Steel 316 typically takes from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the part's complexity, size, and required finishing.
Stainless Steel 316 Forgings find extensive application in industries requiring both high strength as well as resistance to corrosion. They are used in ship parts, offshore platforms, and seawater equipment in the marine sector. They are used by chemical processing plants for tanks, reactors, and piping systems that come into contact with aggressive chemicals. Power generation plants use them in heat exchangers, valves, and boiler parts. The food processing and pharmaceutical industries appreciate their hygienic characteristics and resistance to contamination. 316 forgings also have applications in pressure vessels, pumps, and medical implants, where biocompatibility and durability in adverse operating conditions are essential for satisfactory long-term performance.
