Stainless Steel 316 Hollow Bars are primarily made of iron, featuring 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, which significantly boosts their corrosion resistance, particularly in marine and chemical settings. They also contain controlled amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. These bars boast impressive mechanical strength, with a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa. They exhibit good ductility and elongation of about 40%, maintaining their toughness in both high-temperature and cryogenic conditions. Additionally, SS 316 is non-magnetic when annealed and can be easily welded.
