SS 316L Hollow Bars are produced from an austenitic stainless steel alloy having around 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum with a maximum of 0.03% carbon for enhanced weldability. It has a good corrosion resistance, especially in marine and chloride-rich conditions. The alloy demonstrates a tensile strength of 485–620 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of 40–50%. Low carbon content reduces carbide precipitation, thereby increasing performance in welded structures. Coupled with excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, SS 316L is particularly suited for high-temperature, corrosive, and heavy-duty service.
