Stainless Steel 317 Bars and Rods are crafted from an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy, providing outstanding corrosion resistance. The typical makeup features 18–20% Chromium, 11–15% Nickel, and 3–4% Molybdenum, which greatly enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. This alloy has a maximum carbon content of 0.08%. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 35–40%. SS 317 retains its strength and corrosion resistance even in aggressive chemical settings, making it perfect for both high-stress and corrosive applications.
