Stainless Steel 317 Hex Bar/Rod is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel known for its superior corrosion resistance. Its typical makeup consists of 18–20% Chromium, 11–15% Nickel, and 3–4% Molybdenum, which enhances its ability to resist pitting and crevice corrosion in harsh environments. The maximum carbon content is 0.08%. It boasts a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 35–40%.
