SS 317L Hollow Bars consist of 18–20% chromium, 12–15% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and up to a 0.03% carbon content to avoid carbide precipitation. This molybdenum–rich, low–carbon composition provides unparalleled chloride, sulfuric acid, and other corrosive chemical resistance. Mechanically, they provide around 570–700 MPa of tensile strength, yield strength of around 240 MPa, and elongation of 40–50%. Such properties, coupled with great weldability, high pitting resistance, and better performance under higher temperatures, make SS 317L Hollow Bars perfect for application in severe, corrosive, and high-temperature environments in a variety of pivotal industries.
