Stainless Steel 317L Rectangular Bars are essentially made of iron, chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–14%), and molybdenum (3–4%), having little or no carbon, silicon, and manganese. The low carbon ensures that carbide precipitation is reduced, and corrosion resistance post-welding is improved. This alloy offers superior resistance to corrosive chemicals and sea environments. It is mechanically strong with a tensile strength of ≥485 MPa, yield strength of ≥170 MPa, and elongation of ≥40%. Its strength, weldability, and corrosion resistance qualities make it suitable for applications in chemical processing, marine engineering, and food processing equipment production.
