Stainless Steel 347 Bars and Rods are made up of 17–19% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, and include niobium (columbium) to prevent carbide formation. The alloy also has a maximum carbon content of 0.08%. SS 347 boasts a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 40%. The niobium stabilization enhances its resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly after welding or prolonged heat exposure.
