Stainless Steel 347 Hex Bar is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that’s stabilized with columbium (niobium), giving it remarkable resistance to intergranular corrosion. The typical chemical makeup consists of 17–19% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, along with trace amounts of Columbium and Tantalum. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40% over 50 mm. It maintains its strength even at high temperatures and offers good creep resistance. These characteristics make SS 347 an excellent choice for applications that involve high heat and corrosive environments.
