Stainless Steel 347 Hollow Bar is an austenitic stainless steel that’s stabilized with columbium (niobium), specifically designed to resist intergranular corrosion after being exposed to high temperatures. Its typical makeup consists of 17–19% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, along with trace amounts of columbium and tantalum. This grade boasts a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40%. SS 347 retains impressive mechanical strength and creep resistance even at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for high-heat service environments, while also offering good weldability and oxidation resistance.
