The higher carbon content in 347H enhances its creep resistance and high-temperature strength. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and impressive elongation of around 35%. This alloy retains good toughness even at cryogenic temperatures and resists oxidation up to 870°C. The niobium content helps prevent carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring reliability for long-term use in high-heat environments.
