Stainless Steel 347H Hollow Bar is an austenitic stainless steel that’s stabilized with niobium (columbium) and specifically designed for high-temperature applications. It generally contains 17–19% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, and a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) compared to standard 347, enhancing its creep resistance. The alloy also incorporates up to 1% niobium to prevent carbide precipitation. SS 347H boasts a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 40%. It retains excellent mechanical strength at elevated temperatures and offers good resistance to oxidation and intergranular corrosion, even after welding or extended heat exposure.
