Stainless Steel 410 is a martensitic stainless steel that contains about 11.5–13.5% chromium and a maximum carbon content of 0.15%. It offers decent corrosion resistance, high strength, and remarkable hardness after heat treatment. Typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 700 to 950 MPa, a yield strength of around 450 MPa, and a hardness of up to 50 HRC when hardened. SS 410 is magnetic in all conditions and performs admirably in mildly corrosive and high-wear environments. It’s also suitable for machining and can be heat-treated to boost its mechanical performance.
