Stainless Steel 410 is a hardenable martensitic stainless steel that contains about 11.5–13.5% chromium and up to 0.15% carbon. It boasts good corrosion resistance, particularly in mild environments, along with impressive mechanical properties. The typical tensile strength falls between 700–950 MPa, with a yield strength around 450 MPa and hardness reaching up to 50 HRC after heat treatment. SS 410 is magnetic and can be heat-treated, making it perfect for applications that demand both toughness and wear resistance. Its well-balanced composition allows for easy machining, polishing, and moderate resistance to oxidation and scaling at higher temperatures.
