Stainless Steel 420 Round Bars and Rods generally consist of 12–14% chromium and 0.15–0.40% carbon, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur. This unique blend allows them to achieve high tensile strengths between 700–850 MPa (when hardened), a yield strength of around 450 MPa, an elongation of about 20%, and Brinell hardness reaching up to 500 HB. They offer good machinability in their annealed state and can be polished to a mirror-like finish when needed. Their mix of strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance makes them dependable for precision components and cutting tools across various industries.
