Stainless Steel 431 Hollow Bar is a robust, heat-treatable martensitic stainless steel that contains 15–17% chromium and 1.2–2.0% nickel. It strikes a fantastic balance between strength, toughness, and moderate corrosion resistance. When properly heat-treated, it can achieve a tensile strength ranging from 850–1000 MPa and a yield strength of about 600 MPa. It also shows good impact resistance and fatigue strength. While it offers better corrosion resistance than many other martensitic grades, it shines in mildly corrosive environments. Its machinability and hardening capabilities make it perfect for precision hollow components.
