Stainless Steel 440C Hollow Bar is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel celebrated for its remarkable hardness and wear resistance. It typically features 16–18% chromium and 0.95–1.20% carbon, along with trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and molybdenum. When heat-treated, it can reach a Rockwell hardness of up to 60 HRC. This material boasts impressive tensile strength (up to 760 MPa), yield strength (~450 MPa), and decent corrosion resistance in mild environments. Notably, 440C is magnetic and maintains excellent dimensional stability and strength even under high-stress and abrasive conditions.
