Stainless Steel 446 Hex Bar is a high-chromium ferritic stainless steel alloy celebrated for its outstanding oxidation and corrosion resistance, especially at elevated temperatures. Its typical chemical makeup consists of about 23–27% chromium, along with small amounts of molybdenum, silicon, and manganese, and very low carbon content. In terms of mechanical properties, it boasts a tensile strength of around 485 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa, along with good creep resistance. While it can’t be heat-treated, it maintains its structural integrity in high-heat environments, making it perfect for applications that involve thermal cycling or exposure to corrosive atmospheres.
