Stainless Steel 446 Hollow Bar is a ferritic stainless steel celebrated for its remarkable resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion. Typically, it contains 23–27% chromium, low carbon content (≤0.20%), and trace amounts of molybdenum, silicon, and manganese. This alloy boasts good thermal conductivity and impressive scaling resistance up to 1100°C. In terms of mechanical properties, it has a tensile strength of about 485 MPa and a yield strength of around 275 MPa. While it can’t be heat-treated for added strength, it offers excellent dimensional stability and creep resistance, making it perfect for high-heat applications.
