We take pride in being a reliable manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 904L Forgings, known for their outstanding corrosion resistance and durability in tough industrial settings. This high-alloy austenitic stainless steel, with its low carbon content, is specifically engineered to withstand harsh reducing acids like sulphuric acid and to prevent chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. Our forgings are crafted with precision to ensure excellent dimensional accuracy, strength, and reliability, all while adhering to strict quality standards. Thanks to their remarkable weldability, formability, and resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, 904L forgings are perfect for chemical processing, marine, pharmaceutical, and offshore industries where long-lasting performance in challenging environments is crucial.
Stainless Steel 904L Forgings generally consist of chromium (19–23%), nickel (23–28%), molybdenum (4–5%), copper (1–2%), and a low carbon content (<0.02%), with iron making up the rest. This alloy boasts a tensile strength of about 490–710 MPa, a yield strength of roughly 220 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. With a hardness rating of around 70–90 HRB, it strikes a balance between high ductility and toughness. This grade excels in resisting sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, and seawater, effectively preventing chloride stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for aggressive chemical and marine applications where standard stainless steels may not hold up.
