Tantalum R05240 is a high-purity, unalloyed tantalum grade that boasts at least 99.95% tantalum content. This grade is specially refined to offer outstanding ductility, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility. Its mechanical properties feature a tensile strength of about 200–250 MPa, a yield strength of around 150 MPa, and an elongation exceeding 30%. With a melting point of 3017°C, it also exhibits excellent workability at elevated temperatures.
